I’m an experienced and knowledgeable music teacher and music therapist, having for over 15 years provided specialist music services to various special needs, mainstream and private schools throughout London and Cape Town.

I provide individual and group lessons in the following instruments: Flute, Piano, Saxophone, Recorder, Clarinet.

All About Me
My name is Michelle. I started playing musical instruments from an early age, starting with the recorder, and later moving onto the flute, saxophone, oboe, clarinet and piano. I graduated with a Bmus in Music Education and honours in Africa Music from UCT in 2002 and later gained my Masters in Music Therapy from Roehampton University in London.
I have just returned to Cape Town after living in London for the last 15 years where I ran a successful music teaching and music therapy business. I have performed in various London wind bands including the Merton Wind band, Yeoman Surrey Band as well as the SLJO jazz band.

Everyone has a unique learning style and I will tailor my lessons to suit your needs. Whether you want to learn just for fun, or prepare for exams and concerts. My job is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students
You are never too old or too young to learn an instrument. Playing an instrument helps to relieve stress, builds your self confidence, teaches patience, fosters creativity, improves memory, develops discipline, and most of all is fun and brings you enjoyment and a sense of achievement.
